About Us

Founded in 1995 by Sylvain Légaré, Arbo-Design is a family business specializing in arboriculture.

Thanks to his many years of experience, he had the opportunity to work for the city of Montreal. Over the years, his daughters have joined him to complete the team.

In 2022, François Bérubé becomes the proud owner and brings renewal to this company. After 8 years as a lineworker at Hydro-Quebec, his experience, knowledge and ability to manage a team are key strengths to pursue the evolution of Arbo-Design. The fundamental objective of the company is to provide quality care for trees in urban areas.

Arboriculture is an evolving science and we are constantly looking for innovations. We hire only qualified, licensed employees and provide them with ongoing training programs. We have the most advanced arboriculture equipment to take care of your trees, because their health is our priority, from roots to crown.

We place great importance on respecting the environment, providing quality work and ensuring customer satisfaction. Pruning residues are recycled to be used in different spheres of horticulture (agricultural protection, ornamental horticulture, etc.).

Arbo-Design is actively involved in the arboriculture community by participating in various committees of the International Society of Arboriculture-Quebec (SIAQ), such as the ones related to research and development, estimates, and work health and safety. We also work with schools to welcome intern pruners that we team up with our experienced pruners. We equally participate in the work-study program.

On top of being CAA-Quebec recommended, the company makes it a point to respect the standards of the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) when doing pruning work. Moreover, we respect the code of ethics of the International Society of Arboriculture-Quebec Inc. of which we have been members since 1996. We are also members of the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the ISA (Ontario).

The company is covered by civil liability insurance. All our employees are covered by the CNESST.

We operate in the greater Montreal area, the North Shore and the Lower Laurentians. Our customers are varied (residential, commercial, municipal, golf clubs, insurance companies, claims adjusters, etc.).
